Launch of Scoil Pól’s ‘Cursa de Paor’ Irish course 2016 cursa de paor

Following the unprecedented popularity and success of the inaugural Cursa de Paor Irish Language Camp in 2015, Scoil Pól are delighted to announce that applications for this year’s camp are now being taken.
‘We were absolutely delighted with the response to the camp last summer’, said Principal Mike O Hara. ’Students came from many of the neighbouring towns and villages, some from as far as Tipperary and Clare to participate in the wide range of classes and activities that were on offer throughout the two weeks’
‘This diversity within the programme will be continued in the coming camp’, noted Noreen O Riordan, Irish teacher at Scoil Pól and Deputy Principal of Cursa de Paor. ‘We are planning variety and good fun while using Gaeilge’

Principal of Cursa de Paor, Gearóid Power, is delighted to be continuing the camp this July. ‘We all enjoyed working with the students last year. It is great to be continuing the legacy started by our late father many years ago and we are all looking forward to July already. I have had a lot of enquiries already from parents keen to sign up for the camp, so I would encourage parents to send in their applications as early as possible to ensure their place’.
Cursa de Paor starts on Monday 4th July and continues to Friday 15th July. The option of completing one week is available with details available from the school office. Classes are for students going in to year three in primary up to including students going in to year two in secondary
