Thosaigh Seachtain na Gaeilge ar an 9ú lá de Mhárta. Ghlac na daltaí sa Chéad Bhliain páirt in imeachtaí éagsúla I rith na seachtaine. D'fhoghlaim gach éinne conas damhsa Gaelach a dhéanamh sa halla.  Céilí ceart a bhí againn I ndáiríre. Ansin bhí poc cruinn againn agus d'éirigh le Michael Brazil Carroll, Donal Healy, Lelia Riordan agus Colm O Keeffe na duaiseanna a bhuachan. Ní féidir dearmad a dhéanamh ar an Tráth na gCeist ranga. Bhí ardchaighdeán ag na daltaí agus ar deireadh bhí an bua ag P. As, J. Barrett, C.Duggan, E. Anderson agus B.Howard.

Neven McGuire Cookery Demonstration 

nevenmaguirephotoScoil Pól are delighted to announce that Neven McGuire will be doing a cookery demonstration in assoication with Scoil Pól, in the Charleville Park Hotel on the 7th May 2015.

Tickets are €20 and are available from the office in Scoil Pól and the Charleville Park Hotel.

This includes a cheese and wine reception. They will also be a display of local Artisan food products prior to the cookery demonstration.

Scoil Pól Summer Irish Camp – ‘Cursa de Paor

Ladies Win Jnr Football Munster Final!

On Thursday 5th of February, the Junior Munster Ladies Football Final between Scoil Pol (Limerick) and Gaelcoláiste Mhuire (Cork) took place in Charleville. Little over a week since their Scoil Pol Footballdisappointing loss in the senior ladies final, the girls of Scoil Pol bounced back with an impressive performance against a skilful and resilient Cork side.

Despite the terrible weather endured over the past number of weeks the excellently maintained pitch at Charleville allowed both teams to play a skilful and high tempo brand of football. It was Scoil Pol who, aided with the wind, started much brighter with four unanswered points. Despite the constant pressure, Gaelcoláiste’s defence worked tirelessly in closing down space and tackling, providing limited scoring chances to the Scoil Pol forwards.
