Agricultural Science class welcomed visitors.. Agritrip2

On a fabulous Monday morning the 5th and 6th yr agricultural science classes welcomed a visit from Avril and Billy Gubbins, along with our own students Shannon and Aidan. Shannon and Aidan are notorious in the cattle showing community and were good enough to bring their All Ireland winning animals for our classes to examine. The students were treated to an interesting and information filled talk from our visitors, with topics such as embryo transfer and AI being discussed in great detail. Students asked a number of questions and got an opportunity to take photos with the animals and even handle the animals, leading them around. All those involved had a wonderful experience. Huge thanks must go to Avril, Billy, Shannon and Aidan for their hard work and patience.
