Transition Year (TY)
Transition Year is a one-year programme taken after the Junior Cycle and before beginning the Senior Cycle. TY gives students the opportunity to explore new subjects, develop life skills, and prepare for senior cycle learning in a less exam-focused environment.

- Personal Growth: Encourages maturity, responsibility, and self-confidence.
- Being a Learner: Offers diverse subjects and project-based learning without exam pressure.
- Civic and Community Engagement: Promotes active citizenship, teamwork, and community involvement.
- Career Exploration: Includes work experience and career guidance to help students explore future pathways.

- No State Examinations: Focus is on learning through experience rather than exams.
- Work Experience Placements: Students spend time in real workplaces to gain insights into various careers.
- Modular and Diverse Curriculum: Schools have flexibility to include subjects like mini-companies, media studies, environmental projects, arts, and ICT alongside core academics.
- Guest Speakers, Trips & Projects: Learning is extended beyond the classroom to include real-world experiences.

Year Long Modules:
TY School Musical, YSI, Mini Company, Coding, Green Schools and Sustainability, Junk Kouture, Future Leaders, Chess, Swimming, Hiking, Cookery.
